Coronavirus COVID-19 Guidance
Latest relaxation of COVID-19 restrictions in the UK
In Scotland, the legal requirement to wear face coverings in most public spaces will now be removed on 18 April. This legal requirement has already been removed in England, Northern Ireland and Wales.
Since 18 March, all COVID-19 travel restrictions have been lifted for arrivals into the UK, including the Passenger Locator Form, as well as all tests for all passengers, regardless of vaccination status.
Full details can be found in the guidance below.
Please note that the BFC’s Travelling to and from the UK for Work in Film or High-end Television Drama Production During COVID-19 guidance has been removed, as it is no longer required under current Government policy.
We are in the process of further updating the Working Safely During COVID-19 in Film and High-end TV Drama Production guidance to reflect the Government’s Living with Covid-19 plan and related changes to gov.uk. This revision will be published in due course.
Film and HETV production is permitted under all restrictions in England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales. This covers all aspects of the production process.
Cast and crew working on film and HETV projects should continue to follow the British Film Commission’s Working Safely During COVID-19 in Film and High-end TV Drama Production guidance, the production’s own COVID-19 protocols and the production-specific Risk Assessment.
